A lot of countries have joined the Vaccine Alliance (GAVI) at its Global Vaccine Summit 2020 in London to show in support for the organization to find a vaccine for the COVID-19 pandemic that has certainly taken the world by a storm.

A lot of countries, including billionaires such as Bill Gates, have donated a huge sum of money to help the alliance to come up with a vaccine for the virus as soon as possible. Among these countries was Saudi Arabia that pledged $150 million.

The Kingdom, which pledged $150 million to help fund GAVI’s work, was represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, who thanked the UK government and Johnson for hosting the summit, on behalf of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman. He praised GAVI for its “noble” work in reducing the “dangers of epidemics” and saving lives.
