The Egyptian government recently has always been trying to be as progressive as possible by giving chances to all those aspiring artists out there. Not only that, they have been trying to find new and creative ways to promote tourism in the country and their latest attempt is the “Egypt Through the Camera” Competition.
So, Photographers gather and listen up: Muster all your photographic skills, your camera sets, and your creative eye and take part in this amazing initiative by doing the following:
The competition rules stipulate that the submitted photos should address the issue of tourism from a creative perspective, and that the participating photos should be taken inside the Arab Republic of Egypt during this year, and that any modification in the image that changes its elements, such as installing an external element or removing an element from the image with various software tools, is strictly prohibited, even if it is an element that does not change the general meaning.
However, it allows cutting, color modification, and lighting in a way that does not change the meaning of the image or its content or affect its elements.
Each participant is entitled to participate with no more than five photos, make sure that the pictures are high resolution because they will be printed and displayed in a public exhibition. That is if they actually made the cut of course!
Here’s the email you should send the pictures to: WPD@smoinfo.gov.eg
