One of the best things about our #Chatterersgoinglocal campaign and supporting people with talents and businesses is that you get to see a variety of everything. Some are talented when it comes to fashion designing, some are blessed with artistic eyes when it comes to photography, and others know how to present things in the most beautiful way, just like I Craft

Created by Salma Ahmed in 2017, I Craft is a page for making remarkable gifts for your loved ones. Salma believes that each gift should be personalized and unique, that way it bears the true meaning behind it. What makes her work more impressive is that she makes sure not to repeat the same gift twice, even if the client asks for the same idea or theme.

“I’ve always been passionate about gift-giving and creating handmade gifts for the people I love. I truly believe that they are more valuable and sentimental than ordinary gifts. The first few products I posted on my page were gifts that I made for my friends, and they were actually my inspiration to start this business as well as my mother who taught me all of the skills that I know of today,” Salma said.

I Craft started originally as Salma’s way to advise people about gift buying, creation, and presentation, but she soon realized that almost everyone wants the gift to be done for them without the hassle of creating it from scratch. Salma started with three main products which are explosion boxes, open letters, and mini candy jars. Then she added new products such as scrapbooks, envelope accordion books, and picture boxes. The feedback she received while adding the new projects motivated her to keep bringing new ideas to the table and expand more. She is currently working on opening a mini studio where she can hire people and spread her work.

“For the past 3 years, I’ve been working alone; buying supplies, taking pictures and videos, printing and resizing pictures, packing the orders, and delivering them myself to the shipping company. I’m excited to see my business grow, and I’d like to thank every customer for believing in me and in my taste when I couldn’t show them a preview of their order. I’d also like to thank my family, especially my mom, for believing in me,” Salma added.
