In an attempt to control the wide-spreading COVID-19 pandemic, The Egyptian Dar Al-Ifta has released a statement that clarifies the situation for those who fear getting infected by the virus during Friday prayers.

The ruling was that it’s perfectly fine to pray at home and not to visit the mosque and it would still count as if you have gone to the mosque.

This comes after the Egyptian government has allowed Friday prayers to commence at mosques after it being halted for almost 6 months in fear of the spreading of the virus amongst the prayers.
