Whether you are looking for a lap of luxury, in dire need of quality time with your family, or want a romantic and intimate getaway, Baron Hotel Palace Sahl Hashish should definitely be on the top of your list! The 6 stars hotel is located in the heart of Sahl Hashish, approx around 20km away from Hurghada downtown, bordered by the serenity of the Red Sea with a real beckoning front view of Arabian architecture and evergreen gardens.
While it’s really hard to write a full review on a hotel that is quite gigantic and lies on 100,000-meter squares, to the extent that we had to divide the tour into two days so that we can fully see every part of the hotel, tackling this review into sections made so much sense. So without further ado, here is our humble feedback:
Going in January and during a pandemic was a bit worrying, but knowing that the hotel is now licensed by the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Health to receive guests as it meets the general regulations, has made us quite relieved to go. While most of the hotels, restaurants, companies, and shops work with half the staff, and sadly compromising quality, we did not feel that there was a shortage of manpower anywhere, with immaculate room service, deluxe staff during the open buffet. And whenever we hit the pool, we were enjoying our soft drinks in abundance; thanks to the attentive bartenders around the pool.
Moving on to one of the strongest facets of the Baron Hotel! Their Royal suites take up to more than 10 people, with a private heated pool, a whole bar with bartending service, a meeting table, four bathrooms, 2 closets, and is furnished in full affluence. Their Swim-up suites are set to be a private sanctuary that is perfect for honeymooners with access to the private heated pool around the clock, straight from the room.
The Executive Sea View rooms give access to private cabanas for extra serenity at the beach. For parents, they have the Family Sea View suite that has an inner sliding door for privacy and with easy access to the pool and beach. There are also the Panorama Sea View, the Prince Sea View, and other options that tailor to all the residents’ needs.
Well, we certainly had a taste of all the cuisines during our stay. As mentioned before, we went at the beginning of the month, to find the open buffet area adorned with a full island that has Christmas chocolate ornaments, gingerbread, sugar pastries, and statues throughout the whole hall.
The breakfast open buffet included all types of bakeries, waffle and crepe making station, the western breakfast menu, and serves more than 10 types of honey fresh out of the hive that is already on display. For dinner, the sushi, Asian, and pasta bar are incredible, and you will definitely enter with an appetite for everything, in addition to the straight out of the oven turkey, duck meat, or mixed grills. With a menu like this, you can hardly leave a space for their famous desserts bar that includes the yummiest range of puddings, English cakes, tarts, and much more.
If all of the previous was not tempting enough, Baron hotel has more than 6 restaurants; The Egyptian resturant for oriental food, Ying & Yang Asian Fusion restaurant, Mikado Japanese restaurant, Bella Vista Italian restaurant, the Infinity Seafood & BBQ Pool restaurant, and Chillitos Mexican restaurant which is our personal favorite, and serves the hottest burritos you’ll ever taste.
We’ve definitely seen a lot of pools in just one place! The Hotel is divided into two main parts; family and adults, and that’s how it smartly caters to both families and individuals without leaving out any service behind. The family pool is just minutes away from the beach, fit for all family members and burkinis are allowed, surrounded by the seafood & BBQ restaurant.
The kids’ pool comes with an aquamarine castle and an added toddler’s mini pool, just in front of a kids’ playing area that parents can monitor via CCTV. Moving to the Adults section, with the famous infinity pool that definitely takes away all the busy city hassles once you take a dip. There is the adult heated pool with a jacuzzi that brings back all the forgotten romance, in addition to the heated pools that are dedicated to the suites.
One of the things we loved the most about Baron, is that again, they cater to all family members’ needs so that the whole stay is pleasant. The Baron Club lounge, which is accessible to the Swim-up, Panorama, Ambassador, and Royal suites, is the perfect spot to get a couple of drinks, snacks, refreshments with wifi access. There is also the Teens bar, which gives them the freedom to play board games, billiard, dance floor and serves nonalcoholic drinks. The Niche bar comes with grandeur furniture, and a sense of lavishness all around the place to wind down. Moving to outdoors, with tennis courts, volleyball courts on the beach, a Roman theatre, and a certified PADI diving and water sports centers.
Prepare yourself to visit a real sanctuary when you hit the Spa-Wellness Center in the palace. With a hairdresser & beauty salon, gym area with a dedicated pool, and full spa services including Thai massage, couples massage, mud pool, and the most serene couples spa area with a jacuzzi tub, two massage beds, private bathroom with walk-in shower, and a sauna room. If you missed packing anything, or you want to bring souvenirs back, you just hit the shopping arcade, and there is a clinic and a 24-hour on-call doctor in case of emergency.
Given the fact that we, at C-Town Chatter, have to work even when we are on the run, it’s worth mentioning that the hotel provides high-speed wifi for free with a pretty strong signal all throughout the premises of the hotel. So, if you’re looking to have some work done while you’re sipping on that Mojito on the beach … Consider it done!
