To bring Egypt’s vision to support entrepreneurship, I-EVENTS launched Egypt’s Entrepreneur Awards, the first of its kind. The event will take place on the 12th of June to award local entrepreneurs with the most exceptional visions. The awards will be across more than 15 fields such as: architecture & interior design, e-commerce, fashion, media and advertising, general tech services, and real estate.
For the real estate category, those who are shortlisted are the ones who are able to provide valuable experiences for their customers, either through innovative developments, creative adaptive reuse of buildings, brokerage services, and/or property management and financing generally using tech “proptech”, in order to improve the ways people buy, sell and rent properties.
And here are the three finalists for this category:
1. Karim Akram – Lyve Application
“Lyve comes with a strong focus on residents,”, says Karim Akram. The application was developed for third parties to enable them to offer their products and services for the applications users directly. The platform of Lyve also adds key features to improve maintenance collection fees which are considered one of the key challenges for Home Owners Associations and Real Estate Developers.
2. Karim Shafei – Al Ismaelia for Real Estate Investments
Having been established in 2008, Al Ismaelia for Real Estate Investment seeks to breathe life into Downtown Cairo by renovating the150- year legacy built by Khedive Isma’il. They effortlessly blend historical legacy with contemporary lifestyle. To quote Shafei, he says, “One of the main missions of Al Ismaelia is to garner and foster Egyptian art.”
3. Khaled El Sayyad – Prime Capital and Prime Hospitality
Prime Capital and Prime Hospitality offer serviced apartments, real estate investment, and property management in Egypt. The company includes two brands which are: Prime Select, and it offers a curated selection of luxurious furnished serviced apartments, and Prime Residence which offers serviced apartments in buildings with full amenities. “Because of the time I spent in the US, I was very familiar with this concept.”, says El Sayyad. In 2020, he was chosen to be part of Forbes Middle East’s “30 under 30” list.
