Padel is a fun racquet sport that mixes tennis and squash. It has a court smaller than tennis and ball-bouncing walls like squash, which fills the game with surprises and funny moments.
Hassan Abdelwahab, a second-year business student and a young entrepreneur is turning padel into a little more than a game. He created “Let’s Padel”
“Padel is fun, but it can be more fun. Let’s Padel is a special kind of padel court. I wanted to build a world-class fun padel court where people can settle disputes, arguments, fights, and old scores. Let’s not fight with a spouse over the name of a newborn. Let’s not flip a coin to decide between Greece or Spain for a vacation.
Instead “Let’s Padel” .. meet in court, play a fair game and let the winner settle the score.
Let’s Padel opened their first court in La Vista Cascada in the North Coast, earlier this month and have been settling scores ever since.
“I didn’t know what a feasibility study means… I didn’t know where to get the material to build a world-class Padel field… I didn’t even have the money to do any of that. Entrepreneurship is very hard but just as exciting, and you could fail but it doesn’t matter. If you pursue anything with passion, you always come out a winner. The biggest win is not money, it is experience.”
In the old days, people used to settle scores with a duel, nowadays, in Sahel, people take their opponent to court. A “Let’s Padel” court.
“When the first booking notification rang, my heart started pounding. A few days later, Let’s Padel started attracting celebrities with scores to settle, and there were spectators cheering .. wow… it’s happening”
Let’s Padel has plans to expand in Greater Cairo very soon, and start a series of scores to settle.
See you all in court!
