Heads up: If you really want to make it in time, make sure that you leave your house early because apparently, all the people are in the streets trying to go where you want to go too!
Rejoice, Saudis! The Saudi National Day is just around the corner, so brace yourselves for a long weekend full of festivities. Every year on the 23rd of September, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia commemorates the birth of the modern Saudi Nation, and this year is no different.
For the 91st founding anniversary, the theme has been announced to be “Heya Lana Dar”, or “A home for us”, inspired by Saudi songs and poems conveying what the Kingdom means to the millions who call it home. Aligning with the Nation’s Vision 2030, this year’s identity was crafted to embody phenomenal colors and messages, but of course, expect to spot the color green as far as your eyes can see, that means roads, buildings, cars, and everything in between!
It sure has been different for Saudi Arabia these couple of past years. Things have evolved drastically, and we would have seen more festivities but sadly, covid-19 has forced the country to lockdown.
As stated by the Saudi-based Idaat Magazine CEO, Ali Bin Hassan El-Awagi, that “The Saudi National Day has not been the same ever since King Salman Bin Abdelaziz and the Knight of this country Mohamed Bin Salman”. Both Royals have managed to revolutionize the country and take it from where it is, to become one of the leading countries in the world in all fields.
In honor of this special day, the Saudi government has set out to create a busy calendar for the weekend full of all sorts of activities and events, such as:

The Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation – Promoter of the 2021 FORMULA 1® SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX – is inviting all citizens and residents of Saudi Arabia of all ages to come together and build the Worlds’ largest LEGO Brick Formula 1® car in aid of Ehsan – Saudi Arabia’s focal national charity.
