Egypt’s National Council for Women (NCW) has just announced that they will be following a 16-days program to combat the violence against women here in Egypt. This comes along with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, until December 10th, which coincides with the International Day of Human Rights. Domestic violence has always been an issue in Egypt and the ME.
The council is launching this campaign for the sixth year in a row to share with the world its efforts and activities to confront this dangerous global problem. Dr. Maya Morsi, head of the NCW, confirmed.
Though I wish there was a day for “Violence Against Men who can Retort with Much More Violence but Refrain from Doing So.
In a perfect world maybe that can happen. Perhaps the NCW can take over this one too.
“I hope that the coming years will celebrate the final elimination of all forms of violence against women. Because every Egyptian woman and girl deserves to live a safe life free of violence,” said Dr. Morsi.
He's that guy who decided to throw it all and start from scratch! He has a lot of journalistic experience and he plans to pour it all on C-Town Chatter. He "slaps the bass" and his life's motto is "if it's too loud, then you're too old!"
